Cannot connect Sensor to Wifi network when connected to hotspot

What to do when your sensor won't connect

Please check that the Wifi network you are trying to connect to is:

  1. Not a Hidden Network
  2. Not a Captive Portal
  3. Not blocked with a Corporate Firewall

If none of the above is the case, Please try following steps.

  1. Power 'off' the device.
  2. Wait 5 seconds.
  3. Power ‘on’
  4. Wait 30 seconds
  5. Press reset switch for 5 seconds or until LED lights behaviour changes
  6. Connect to hotspot ‘Hoxton Direct’
  7. Re-attempt to connect to wifi network


If you are still unable to connect to the Wifi network please try following:

  1. Connect an ethernet cable from one of wifi router’s ports to the “LAN” connection on the PoE power plug.
  2. Press reset switch for 5 seconds or until LED lights behaviour changes
  3. Check if the device comes online by reviewing LED light status. See table below for more information

If the device comes online, then it is an issue with your wifi network.
